Unique Decaf Espresso from Ethiopia

For a long time, a great-tasting decaf espresso was unthinkable. But with our Decaf Guji Natural, we present a specialty espresso that deserves a place in your evening routine. With its strikingly creamy mouthfeel, sugary sweetness, and orange flavor, it's particularly good as a Flat White or Cappuccino.

Roast level

Light RoastMeansDark Roast
The medium roast gives the coffee more structure and body. The clove note becomes clearer and more defined, while the orange loses some of its sharp acidity and becomes more harmonious. At the same time, a pleasant sweetness and a creamy mouthfeel develop.

Flavor profile

Chocolatey / NuttyBalancedFloral / Fruity
The distinct clove note gives this decaf an unusual, spicy depth. Fruity orange adds freshness to the cup, while a sugarcane-like sweetness and creamy body create a harmonious overall impression.

Decaf: How Our Coffee Is Decaffeinated

Eine Maschine zur Entkoffinierung des Kaffees mit der EA-Decaf-Methode

Method: Sugarcane EA Decaf

The coffee cherry naturally contains caffeine. There are various methods to extract the caffeine from the cherry pits, our "coffee beans." For our coffee, we used ethyl acetate decaffeination, a process considered environmentally friendly. Ethyl acetate is a naturally occurring organic compound that extracts caffeine from the bean. Because ethyl acetate is often derived from sugarcane, this decaffeination method is also commonly referred to as the "Sugarcane Process." The EA method has proven effective because it best preserves the coffee's original flavor.
